Through a series of discussions you find out how a teacher student can successfully plan a practise period.
I directed, filmed and edited this educational video. I used Panasonic GH4 for the filming and Premiere Pro CC 2017 for the edit. I wanted some camera motion in the video similar to the way of the ‘Law & Order’ series. I assembled a shoulder rig for the GH4 to get the desired constant motion. It was almost like building with legos back in the day. As you can see in the image, I turned the handle so that I could support the rig when I adjusted the focus while recording.
A boom mic was used to get the audio. Video and audio were recorded separately and synced inside Premiere with the Plural Eyes plugin. In Premiere I used the proxy feature which helped with the realtime preview of the 4K video clips. The 4K files were cropped and edited inside a FullHD (1080p) timeline. By shooting in 4K I got different picture sizes in one take and it was possible to reframe the shot in the edit.
